Hillary Clinton Will Be the World Bank Director

Circulating rumors, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United States Hillary Clinton will soon resign from his post to become head of the World Bank. Rumors are associated with the tradition that the head of the World Bank come from the USA and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from Europe. Really?

Hillary Clinton denied reports that he plans to quit his job next year to become head of the World Bank. He said publicly no plans to leave posny in the State Department for more than four years. Current World Bank President, Robert Zoellick, will end his term in mid-2012.

Clinton spokesman, Philippe Reines, strongly disputed the report told The Washington Post. "100 percent not true, alleged Reuters (that Clinton will become the boss of the World Bank) is wrong," Reines wrote in an e-mail.

Alex Slater, managing director of SKDK, the Democratic consultant, said he was "surprised" by the report. "He has done an extraordinary job in the department of state and ranked very high," he said.

Clinton would require the approval of 187 World Bank member countries to achieve that office. He is widely considered to have done an excellent job in the foreign ministry after failing to defeat the president Barack Obama in the Democratic presidential convention in the election of 2008.
